10-minute nowcasting now covers South America

Two weeks after the U.S., Africa and the Middle East, pvnode now updates PV forecasts every 10 minutes from live satellite data in South America too.

10-minute nowcasting now covers South America

Two weeks ago we extended our 10-minute nowcast to the U.S., Africa and the Middle East. Starting today, sites in South America get it too.

Where exactly

The map shows coverage per country. Light green means at least 85 % of the country lies inside the 10-minute area, dark green means between 15 and 85 %. In South America, every country is at least 98 % covered, most of them fully. Sites outside the area keep the regular forecast, which updates less often.

What you need to do

You don't need to do anything else. The endpoint and the response stay the same. If your site is inside the area and your plan has 144 updates per day, like Plus, the forecast now draws on a new satellite image every 10 minutes. All plans are on the pricing page.

What's next

We are working on extending the 10-minute nowcast's worldwide coverage step by step.
